Description

Introduction to the world of hip-hop music, guiding students through the process of composing lyrics and rhythmic beats. Students will learn the art of creating poetic storylines. Builds vocabulary and language skills. Culminates in original composition.

Duration: Three one-hours sessions - more can be added for a more in-depth experience.
School Fee: 3 days X 2 days = $450
Minimum Attendance: 5

Technical Needs: This class should take place in a large space that allows for freedom of movement. Call Young Audiences for specific details
Other Information: Minimum of two consecutive classes must participate. Also, all participating teachers must attend a 30-minute pre-residency planning meeting.

Deadline: Minimum of three weeks prior to requested start date.
Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract by mail, fax, or email. Should illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program taking place as scheduled, Young Audiences will offer the option of rescheduling or using a substitute artist. Programs canceled by a school or community presenter after confirmation are subject to full payment. A $25 rescheduling fee will be charged if a schedule change is requested after a program has been confirmed.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must remain with class at all times.
