Description

This program introduces students to music from countries and regions around the world, including Japan, Australia, France, and South America. Michael fascinates students with ancient and traditional instruments like the didgeridoo, conch shell, shofar, bells, and drums, as he traces the evolution and development of music through the ages. Students will learn to sing and provide accompaniment for songs from multiple countries, then participate in composing and performing their own original song.

Students Will

Duration: Three one hour sessions - more can be added for a more in-depth experience
School Fee: 3 days X 2 classes (minimum) = $450

Other Information: Minimum of two consecutive classes must participate. Also, all participating teachers must attend a 30-minute teacher/artist meeting prior to the residency.Bilingual in French and English

Deadline: Minimum of three weeks prior to requested start date
Cancellation Policy: A program is confirmed when you receive your contract by mail, fax, or email. Should illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances prevent the program taking place as scheduled, Young Audiences will offer the option of rescheduling or using a substitute artist. Programs canceled by a school or community presenter after confirmation are subject to full payment. A $25 rescheduling fee will be charged if a schedule change is requested after a program has been confirmed.
After School Policy: A teacher or afterschool employee must remain with class at all times.
